OUR STORY
Suzy’s Chocolates was created from a desire to pursue a passion. For many years now, I’ve had this yearning to venture into something new, something I could call my very own that was derived from a personal passion. I love to be challenged. I love to create. I love to push myself to do better, to be better. I love to help people find their happiness.

And of course, I love chocolate. Who doesn’t, right? But, I don’t just mean eating it. I love creating things from it. Not only is there the challenge of coming up with just the right ingredients to find the perfect balance and flavor, there’s also the technique required to successfully shape and work with chocolate. And, there’s also the artistic aspect that comes into play with the different colors and designs. I am likely drawn to my craft because of the need for both technical skills and artistic creativity to end up with a beautiful, tasty chocolate treat. And, I love the thrill of presenting my work to those who are truly appreciative and admire the craftswomanship that goes into each piece.

But, it’s not all about me. It’s about you and our community, too. You can rest assured knowing Suzy's Chocolates maintains the highest of standards. That's why I choose to buy local. I source ingredients such as raspberries, strawberries, hazelnuts, cream and more from local, Oregon farms. And, I strive to be socially responsible in my decision-making, for example by purchasing “Fair Trade” chocolate and making conscientious packaging choices (i.e. Eco-friendly, Made in the USA) whenever possible.

I hope to be a beacon of light by leading a responsible, transparent business that sets a good example, basing decisions not solely upon the bottom line, but upon doing the honorable, right thing to ensure everyone’s best interests are kept in mind.
